C6 of Year Finalist (performance mods) 2019

I did a back to back stock vs Vmax test at the track and had no gains on my '08 A6. My friend put it on his '08 M6 and said the response was better, but he doesn't race and therefore nothing other than a butt dyno impression.
If you order one, indicate the year of your car. Or better yet, look to see if the throttle plate is silver colored or gold.
Another alternative is the Vitesse throttle control.

Agree that in addition to response, it's worth something...but I don't think anyone is going to get 12 rwhp from a ported TB. Even max effort 600+ rwhp LS7 builds are only gaining 5-6 rwhp by going from the OE TB to a NW 102.

  1. http://www.superchevy.com/how-to/vem...olet-corvette/
  2. 17hp gain from stock. With the stock tune.

While I appreciate you digging up the article, I'm going to go ahead and at the dyno unicorn. A 17 rwhp gain will equate to ~1.5 car lengths and ~1.5 mph at the drag strip. That's the type of gains that I personally give more credence to...car lengths and trap speed. I can assure you that a ported stock TB on an otherwise completely stock vehicle is not gaining 1.5 cars/1.5 mph at the track. But hey, the increase in throttle response is certainly welcomed on the DBW vehicles.

I'm more inclined to believe what his results were below, as this is typically what I've also seen and experienced.
