OK, guys I am already thinking of starting a winter project. If I wanted to build a ridiculous car what block do you guys recommend starting with? I am planning on running twin turbos and building it to 1200 HP machine. What block LS7, LS3?? It will be going into a C6
check out the ERL Performance website, they sleeve and stroke an all aluminum LS block using three times the strength sleeves over stock, perfect for boost applications.
OK, I am looking at the GM LS Superdeck II Short Blocks from ERL performance? give me your opinions on this company and the block.
Can I add links to the description on this forum?
Also on a setup like that what heads do you guys reccommend? Which superchargers for the most boost do you guys suggest?
Your OP says twin turbos and now you're asking "Which superchargers"? I'd suggest you decide which route you're going. You probably should move this to the FI forum.

when i installed ERL's M7 package, my installer had problems with oil pressure. ERL suggested i send the short block back to them for evaluation. they found an o-ring in the bearing journals....they sent me pics of the find. then offered to rebuild the shortblock, rings and bearings at cost. they also completely reassembled the oil system to make sure it was assembled correctly. i was completely satisfied with their backing up their word. they called a couple of weeks later to find out how the block was performing. integrity is what i found with them.

Sorry, I am looking at twin turbo, my current engine is supercharged and I had a kid yelling in my ear, typied supercharger but meant twin turbos. Sorry for the confusion.

Another vote for ERL. I'm currently building a NA 454 and using a LS2 block. With the ductile iron sleeves it will be better suited for force induction.

Unless ERL has exactly what you need in stock, don't waste your time with them unless you don't mind not have your car for a couple of months.
I called last week to see about buying an LS7 block but they didn't have one and told me it'd be at least 8 weeks to build even after they had my core. Another friend had some work done by them and a promised 2 week build time turned into 14 weeks.

my build was right on with what they promised, they supply cores and maybe LS7 cores are harder to find. by the way their core charge is only $1200.00! so you can keep your old block for a spare and get a whole new short block for $5000.00 with forged assbly. but most of all they stand by their product 100%.

I sent them my LS2 block to ERL already but I'm not in a hurry to have my short block finished. I'm running my 444 RWHP 346 and the motor will be swapped during late this year. I have spoken to Sean and Seth many times about my combination and they always took time to answer a lot of my questions. That is not what I can say about other companies I contacted for my original 427 build.
