Default Failed emissions now CEL

Havent had cats in 4 years and never once threw a code. Went to emissions test (tuner said I would pass) and as soon as they plugged in their machine p0050 popped up. I failed and drive home, clear the code, restart the car and no more code appears.

Last night I went driving and after 5 minutes p0050 and p0155 pop up and now appear at every start up.

Car runs the same with no difference in anything.

Do I have bad luck that my O2 sensor/ wiring crapped out the instant I pulled into emissions or did their machine **** my cars computer off.

Your BANK2 Sensor 1 O2 sensor is NOT happy. If it were me, I would first check the O2 sensor fuses and see if there good and properly seated, then check the O2 sensor connectors and wires for that sensor.

Thats the FIRST thing to do.

REMEMBER! When you RESET/CLEAR the DTCs, the Emission Ready Flags in the ECU will NOT be set until the car has preformed the correct number of start and run sequences. It will not pass emissions until all the ready flags are SET.

Bill

Everything under the hood looks good, ill life the car and check the sensor later on.

My only objection is that this all started when the emissions people begab theory test. I'm wondering if they caused it.

The Vegas thing usually is not a lucky time anyway, concerning the gamble thing. Unless you just like to give your money away.

I gotta take my car in for the liberal tree hugging smog test soon too. Of course, my car is 100% legal... So I'm not worried...
