HallTech MAF Screen Replacement
I recently replaced my MAF screen with of one Jim Hall's replacement screens. The screen has 1/8th inch honey combs, twice the size of the restrictive OEM screen.
Throttle response was much crisper in city driving conditions and acceleration to 60MPH seemed improved. Fuel economy seemed like it was trying to improve, but, I’m happy with what I’m getting now.
My car is a bottom breather and I had a frequent surging problem when downshifting with the paddle shifters, especially in 2nd gear. That seems to have gone away. On a WOT pull, MAF reported 50 lbs/min which is a considerable improvement.
