Default Borla Atak Rear Section vs Catback

Recently got a 2011 c6 base, I recently saw the recent borla video of the atak exhauast system and I have to have it. I just have one question, will I see a major difference in sound and/or performance if I opt for the rear section instead of the catback? From what I've read our cars now have an x-pipe already. I'm sure the borla x-pipe is way better but is it really witht the extra few hundred dollars? Thx

Don't waste your money on the x-pipe.

I wouldn't spend the money on the X either and if you plan on doing headers on the car at some point you will have to get rid of it then as well. Either using our headers or most of the other brands out there, we all supply our own X pipe to make sure they fit the OEM or aftermarket mufflers.

Is the LG Axle back equivalent to the Borla Atak sound wise or is it a mellower tone ? I know the price is much better than Borla's

It's a different sound than the Borla's. Our GT4's have a very deep tone, and they are a bit on the louder side of things.

All of the GT2 and GT4 catback's we have are all Z06/ZR1 3" axle back systems which I can fit to a base car, but it would require our headers or a Z06 OEM manifold and mid section.

I just had the Atak's Cat Back System installed on my GS earlier this week. Couldn't be happier with the sound!

Do you have a 3 to 2.5 adapter for the base C6

It's more than just an adapter unfortunately. Not only are the pipes a different size but they are at a different angle and different lengths. A simple adapter pipe would not solve it, at least not without a cut and weld.
