Should the MAF sensor be level?

Took apart my VARARAM for a routine inspection and noticed the MAF sensor in the tube was not level with the ground but rotated about 40 degrees? Should I twist the tube to level it? This is on a Z06.

Doesn't matter to the sensor what position it is in. I usually mount it so that its on the horizontal plane with the inlet tube or coupling just for asthetics.
