Default Lighted Cup Holders

After getting good console removal instructions from cdkcorvette7, I removed the console, and removed the cup holders from the console.
I drilled 2 holes in the gap between the 2 cups, then inserted 2 blue colored caps, and the 12vdc led lights under the caps.
The led lights are left over from a poker table project.
The led lights were pigtailed and soldered to the instrument (park) light wiring which happens to be conveniently running under the console. This allows for the lights to be dimmed or brightened with the instrument panel lighting.
The project took about an hour, and it gives the cup holders a new dimension at night.

I have added the pics of my finished DIY product.
Andrew6 (forum vendor) makes and sells cupholder lighting, and can be found on his site.

This is a fun $5 project. I did this to my 05 Mustang after the 08s came out with the fancy ambient lighting.

Your lighting inspired me, but yours has all the bells and whistles...color changing, remote, blinking etc etc.

I picked Blue for my lighting, but in order to change to a different color, I would have to remove the console again and change the caps.

Good Luck with your sales....I bet they will be very popular.
