Track days one more question?

Flush the brake fluid within a month of each event, probably use DOT4. If you have the automatic trans, you probably want an extra cooler. Go have fun, when you get fast enough to need more mods then lots of people will chime in.
You don't need to do a thousand dollars of mods to have a good time with a GS. Or any other C6.
- The OEM brake pads work great at the track as well, but they sacrifice themselves and quickly wear out since you'd use them beyond their operating temperature range. They are expensive, and I think they're the best pads for street if you are OK with the dusting, so why wear them out prematurely? I'd use a separate set of pads for the track.
- If you have the money, while using separate set of pads, I'd also use a separate set of rotors, too, so you wouldn't have to mess with the complications of the rotors having two different pad materials and not working to the full potential until the pad replaces the other pad's material. Besides, a blank rotor would be more resistant to cracks than a drilled one.
- DOT 4 fluid is a very good insurance, and becomes a must if you abuse your brakes or get to the point where you need to abuse your brakes

- Since your engine is not dry sump, I think you're supposed to add 1 extra quart of oil past the max line during the HPDE event, and remove it once you're done (though many people don't remove it); check your user's manual!
In my opinion, this list above would be a good starter, and might even be the only things you would ever end up doing! I would also check the engine oil level in between sessions. Since it's a new engine, it might burn more than you'd think, and you wouldn't want to track your car with less than or close to minimum oil.

Hawk HP Plus brake pads for track use only... (noisy and dirty on the street)...
Add the extra quart for track days... change oil afterwards...
Buy a helmet and track numbers... you'll need 'em.
Race tape!!! protect your finish....
After a few track days consider dedicated set of wheels and R compound tires for track use.. (my next step I think)..
.... Learn a lot and enjoy yourself!! It's a ton of fun!
