Matt, get up early in the morning and see if you can't get that air bubble out. You're long overdue for that car to be running right.
Take note of the overflow level tonight and see if it gets lower in the morning. I'd bet there is some obnoxious air bubble that is impeding flow. You could also take the main radiator hose off and see if its dry. Water pumps don't normally go bad so I'd bet it's flowing water.
Have you checked the thermostat? Take it out and put it in whatever temperature water it's supposed to open at to make sure it's working.
I did that while having my thumb over part 18. I'll do it again tommorow. I'll check the stat idea. I get up at 4am and leave my house at 4:20ish and I won't be home until 8pm tommorow
