Default E-85 question on heads cam car

I have a heads cam LS3 A6 that put down 484rwhp and 446rwtq

The heads are PRC 250cc aftermarket castings milled to 11.25 to 1
cam is a 225/230 on a 114. and I have all the supporting boltons
vararam, ported fast 102, NW 102tb, LG superpros, no cats, LG GT4 catback and slp underdrive pulley.

I have read the thread where the guy put E-85 in his stock car and tuned it to pick up really good power. Now i know some of that was the tune. I know i need bigger injectors to run the E-85. The car is not a dd so i do not car about the gas milliage.

Does anyone with any expierence with E-85? or a tuner think it is possible for me to get over 500rwhp with just a gas change and a retune? I saw how much it did for that guys stock car and i was wondering what it could do for a fully built N/A application. I know it does more for boosted cars but that thread really has me thinking

any help or advice is appriciated.

I would say it's pretty easy to pick up 16rwhp with a switch to E85 at that level N/A. You can add timing through the roof. All of my experience with E85 is with FI though, and I picked up over 50rwhp when switching.

I love E85, but I wouldn't make the switch if I was N/A unless it's really hot where you live and don't have any good premium. I only have 91 here and it's not that great, so the choice was easy for me when I added the blower.

Edit: what kind of timing does your tune have right now?

You will need 60# injectors. The Siemens ones are 60# at 43.5#s of rail pressure IIRC. E85 loves high compression.

Since you have a LS3 your pump should be fine, but a BAP is likely a good idea.

Bigger injectors will be a must, along with a new tune. You will get to 500 I am sure. Gas mileage will be alot worse though.

We have been playing with e85 for a few years now, on my sales guys Trail Blazer SS he saw about a 30 rwhp gain, sure mileage drops but the fuel is usually 25 - 30% cheaper than premium so cost is a wash. Turbo cars love it, we are breaking parts that normally don't break due to HG failure, but on e85 the HG's don't fai. Get a couple of spare fuel filters and change them often if you make the switch, e85 will clean the fuel system well and plug the filters easily. After a few filter swap outs you should be good to go, of course the newer the car the less crap in the system.

I'm not sure you'll make 500rwhp with just the switch, because your DCR isn't crazy high and you already run a decent amount of timing as the LS3 heads are efficient and don't require a lot of advance. It will help the car run a little cooler and that could help make a little more power, if you're just looking for a dyno number throw on an EWP and drop the belt for a lot cheaper...
