Default problems starting!????
So its not my battery, starter, or alternator. what else can it be that i cant start my car??

Need more details with respect what does and doesn't work before you will get useful help.

2005? Steering column lock? Battery cable where it attaches to the starter solenoid? Need more info.

If its turning over and dieing then replace the fuel pump relay.

Does the car complain of steering column lock on the DIC?

How do you know it's not the battery? Did you replace it or get it tested?

it is just clicking. the guages turn, accessory mode turns on after it doesnt start.

i got the battery tested. they said my battery alternator and starter were ok.

If the car does not give a steering column lock message when you start it then it's the battery.

Quick test of the steering column lock would be to disconnect the positive side of the battery and count to 10. Then reconnect it and try to start the car. If it starts its probably the steering column lock. If it doesnt then it's probably the battery, and you should replace it.

I had an 05 do weird things like this to me, and I ended up just keeping it on a tender when it wasn't driven and replacing the battery. Battery just tested doesnt mean much in these cars, especially the 05.

Yes, the 05 model is certainly a finicky beast! Hook up a different battery just to see if it works. You may be surprised...

After you get it started I would recommend you getting the column lock eliminator bypass kit from corvettes of Houston. I just installed mine the other day after having my car in the shop for 3 weeks with them replacing the column lock module. Then you will never have to worry about starting issues unless your battery goes bad.

Keep us posted. Sure sounds like the battery. How was it tested? The only way to test a battery is by load testing it.

purchasing the battery today and will find ot. not sure if it was the original bought it used 3 years ago.
