Default Help needed for Noise Reduction

I installed a set of Flow Master Mufflers on my 06 Base Coup. Sounds excellent on the outside, but the overwhelming humming (not a vibration) will drive you MAD in the cockpit!! Hoping for any advice or suggestions...

Check out the Block It Kit from TKO Performance. That should definetly take the edge off. He is offering a group buy right now, so its a real good price! If you need more info, give Ed at TKO a call. He will tell you all about it. Tell him I sent ya...

The Blockit kit will help, but may not be enough to keep your ears happy.

A NPP kit and MTW switch could be your next step.

When some muffler manufacturers can't design a system without that annoying drone, it makes you wonder at just how much sound engineering goes into the product. Some of the big names, are amongst the worst. It's best to ask around before buying.

Next time do some research before buying. Lesson learned. And yes, we all have made that mistake. I did it with Borla many years ago. Sell your 'cheap' mufflers and buy a Corsa system. Or axle-back NPP mufflers. I think there's another new system with anti-resonance technology too, but more expensive than Corsa. Can't go wrong with Corsa, but spend some time with the search function and make an educated decision this time. And yes, you'll spend more money at the end than if you had done it right the first time . Good luck.

I use to be a big fan of Flowmaster, but they are known for their drone, and while that was acceptable when I was 17, I have since learned that I prefer an exhaust system that sounds great and doesn't ruin the car on the highway.

Corsa is a great option, but I like the factory NPP's (+headers...) even more.

I made this mistake with B&B Bullets on my C5Z. Ended up changing it. I dont think that you are going to find a sound deadening kit that will make the tone what you are looking for. Sell what you have and do your homework. Good luck.
