Default Head and cam suggestions?

I'm getting ready to purchase a head and cam package for my 06 6 speed. Looking for a package that isn't gonna break me up completely but also make some good power and still have some good drive ability. Car is a street car and doesn't see any track time. Current mods are vararam intake, long tubes and borla stingers. Thanks for any help and suggestions in advance.

i have heard very good things about the katech torquer cam. i would give them a call. and also call anthony @ LG motorsports and he can give you some good advice. they can also do a custom grind cam for you at no extra cost to suit your needs based on what you tell them

Sounds like you have a heck of a good start on the car now.

I guess without knowing what you want for power to see if maybe we can do it cam only, cam and heads, or possibly a cam and a FAST intake.

There are a number of ways to get to a certain power level, but again not knowing what you want from the car hard to say.

Let me know...either on the forum or PM and we can get a better idea of what road we are going to take to get it there.

Anthony I'm actually looking for something in the range of 450-500 at the wheels. Don't know for sure what else I will need to get there. I'd actually like to build my package around your G5X3cam. I've heard nothing but good things about that cam.

I have a 2007 Z51 M6 with:
Slp Headers and catback
Varaam CAI
GM performance CNC L92 milled .020 2.165 and 1.59 valves(599 per head)(milling to 65cc $50)
Stock cam
I Dynojet dynoed 415RWHP and it idles like stock
with a cam on my setup which is like yours other than my heads 450+ is easy with a small cam or 480+ with a big cam.
Do a L92 conversion with a GM L76 intake($200) which is the same as a LS3 intake just has the proper LS2 map sensor mount.
As a side note 415 RWHP on a stock cam C6 LS2 is nearly a record naturally aspirated.Getting 440+ is not hard doing it with out giving up drive ability is hard without upgrading your intake and heads.Basically you are wanting 100+ fly wheel horsepower.Use the G6x3 with the L92 conversion they got 490 RWHP.LG got 395RWHP with a stock cam with AFR heads that are $1200 per.I am pushing the CNC L92 heads at you because they outflow AFR and Trickflows LG will concur to this.
