Any updates for these roll bars. Add a third to the list of RPM, BPP, and now Angelwings. I would really like to see more pictures of cars with these installed. The RPM looks good for track days (not a racer here) . Wonder if rear view thru the mirror is impeded by the bar.

I contacted RSD about a 5 pt roll bar for an 06 coupe (removable top) and they have a 5 pt swing out bar that can be removed in the winter so it wont get in your way if you drive around in the winter..

Their price was $1250 + shipping.. & its IS NHRA LEGAL..and a bolt in..I'm still looking around as I don't see any advantage of having a bolt in bar when I can have one welded in for less $$ and if the day comes when I want to sell, I can just put a hack saw to the bar and remove it...

Problem is with convertibles the choice of available roll bars are much more limited.

If you're racing where they go by the NHRA rules and not by their own track rules, that rollbar won't pass tech. The rules clearly state that rollbars must be bolted or welded to the frame. Since Vettes have a frame and that rollbar doesn't bolt or weld to it, then it's not NHRA legal. There's even a special section in the rule book for Z06/ZR1 cages showing methods of frame attachment. No matter how much that mfg claims it to be NHRA legal, it's not.

At this point, I don't believe any mfg makes a legal rollbar for verts. I've looked closely and I think it's possible, assuming you never want to put the top down. NHRA rules allow a rollbar from 11.00 to 13.49. A rollcage is required for 10.99 and quicker.

A lot of people go racing without knowing the rules and a bunch of those who do know, try to circumvent them. NHRA has protected themselves by establishing strict rules, but tracks that don't comply and mfg who make false claims leave themselves open to lawsuits.

Just trying to inform you of the facts ahead of your decision.

OK, The C6 verts have a Steel frame. So, if the rollbar/cage Bolts to that. It should be good. Yes/No? I'm looking for one myself.
