Tire size help.... again

Tire size help.... again
I asked this question in another thread but I want to put it another way now. I really dont want to screw this up. I am tired of buying expensive tires so often. 
I am changing my wheels to Welds.
17x11 rear and 18x7 front.
The rear M&H tires are 28 inches tall.
In the front I have narrowed it to 2 choices.... 26.9 inch (1.1 inch difference to rear) or 25.9 inch. (2.1 inch diffence to rear)
I have read everything written on this and everyone says to keep things near to 1 inch diffence, which is similar to stock. That is all good but a 26.9 inch tire is 1.2 inches bigger than stock and I wonder if anyone knows if it would give an rubbing problems.
I have run 3 setups on my car before.
Stock setup..... 1 inch difference
Setup 2........... 2.2 inch difference
Current setup......1.3 inch diffence
None of these ever caused any ABS or TC problems or lights for me.
If anyone has experience with similar sizes I am referring to please help me decide on 26.9 or 25.9 fronts.
