Default C6 Heads Up Display

Just wondering if my C6 Heads Up Display is suppose to shake as much as is does or can you do something about it?
It's in a 2005.
Thanks for any help if there is any!

If it is "shaking" I would venture to guess the bracket that holds it is about to break or is loose. I have read about a broken HUD bracket causing the HUD to not be displayed in the correct location, even if you move it all the way up it is barely visable. Just my guess though, no real experience with the issue. (all forum knowledge based)

Your statement implies it shakes "a lot".

Shaking "usually" means it's broken. It could stay that way or get worse.

If you're in Texas or the Northeast we have 2 vendors who can help you. Might want to fill in your profile with city and state so folks can maybe help.

I have the same issue with my 2005. Dealer said whole HUD unit needs replacement as the bracket is internal in the unit. I'm dealing with the shake.

easy to repair. I used the duct cutting method to remove mine. Was finished in a few hours.

Can you give us a little more detail on how to do it please.

Did it fix the shake?

It resolved it for me. Took about an hour to repair after I got it out of the car.

odds are if it's a 2005 fixing it will be more hassle than it's worth. You'd be better off replacing it with new. Imagine going through the pain of removing only to have to do the same thing a month later due to another component going out. I've also noticed that cars that have broken huds the top of the projector has alot of sun damage...
