I'm running mine with a Diablew tune that Lewis did for me when the car was stock. His Intune custom tune made a SOTP difference particularly with the shifts, but the Pfadt headers really woke the car up nicely and the sound is awesome. I tried to record a video clip the other night on my Blackberry but that doesn't do it justice at all. My "butt dyno" tells me 25-30 HP, because anything less than that you probably wouldnt feel. I've put about 150 miles on it since I installed these headers, and it threw the "A/F too lean" codes a couple of times and I just used the Intune to delete the DTC and it lasted for a few drives before it threw the DTC again.
I also did the Elite insulated tunnel plate, which is a nice piece as well.
I did this install in my garage, by myself, with the car on 18" lift jack stands and it was a breeze compared to some of the header installs I've done over the years. I am completely happy with my headers and I love the "Jekyll and Hyde" personality it has with the NPP exhaust. When those valves pop open at 3,000 rpm, it sounds like a completely different engine.
These are world class in terms of design, workmanship and power production. I can't wait until I get it retuned for the headers and then, when i get bored with that, I'll throw a blower, stall and maybe a nice blower cam in it and let it eat...

Still loving these headers! I get so many compliments on the way the car sounds now

Amen, brother!
I love how these things make my car sound when the NPP exhaust cracks open, like it has a big Ferrari V8 in it.
We are getting the tune honed now and I can feel a big difference in torque. It can rip the hell out of the run craps now, just by rolling into the throttle from a standstill. I had it sideways a couple of times now, launching like that and manual shifting it into second, with the AH/TC turned off. My car is definitely much more fun now. Feels like my old '98 H\C high stall Z28. Can't wait to pump some more power out of it.
Thanks again for encouraging me to buy these headers.

I finally finished installing my PFADT catless headers last night and I was able to take the car for a spin around the block and a couple things I noticed right away:

- There are no CEL's (though I'm sure I'll get a CEL soon enough for Catalyst Deficiency)
- The strange thing was that I was getting a message on the DIC that said "Engine too hot AC disabled" and the fan is on full speed all the time, though the engine temps aren't even at operating yet, is that normal? I'm thinking it's because it can't get a reading from the rear O2's (as they are removed) it's thinking the cat has cooked itself and isn't working and therefore it's assuming that the engine is too hot? Is that right?

Any thoughts?

Check to see if you didn't somehow knock the coolant temp sensor wire off or break the sensor when you were installing the headers(can't remember where it is but I think its in the pass. side Cyl. head).
If after a while the ECM doesn't see the temperature rise to indicate the engine is warmed up, it is programmed to assume massive coolant loss and will throw that code. I learned that a few years ago when I tried running a gutted thermostat in my L92 Truck.

Thanks for the suggestion, your post prompted me to search and voila:

^Well sure enough the temp sensor in the drivers side head was unplugged, I must of accidentally disconnected it when getting the headers in there. Plugged it back in and all is good.

Good stuff. Reminds me of what happened to me just after I got my vette: one morning I started it up and it was missing badly and it displayed "Service Active Handling" on the DIC. I panicked and posted a thread on here and within minutes someone came on and said check your plugs wires and, sure enough, one of them was almost dropping off. That's the best feeling I had in a long time. Glad you got it sorted.
Now go and get an Intune with a custom tune from Diablew and let her rip!

Already had an inTune and a Diablew tune for a year we're just tweaking it now for the headers.
