Cruise control problem
My cruise control stopped working on my '05 M6 coupe. I've tried the toe under the brake and battery disconnect but neither worked. Any repair suggestions other than taking apart my steering wheel, air bag etc. and installing a new cruise control switch. Also, my rpm's stay high between shifts unless I wait 2-3 seconds and then they will return to normal idle rpm. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

If you actually did the brake pedal you might want to try again but hold the clutch pedal up. Check this:

It can be as simple as a stop light not working. Anything that will cancel the cruise control (stepping on the brakes) that is not working properly can cause the cruise control to not work.
