On my 11GS A6 when I have my HUD on track 1-2 i get to use all the settings like oil pressure, coolant temp, but there is a symbol that looks like a round gear.
What does that symbol stand for?
I read the owners manual four times and there is no picture of the gear symbol. They have the symbol for the coolant temp, and the oil preasure or oil temp.
Maybe its for the tranny fluid temp, "I know some body has to know"...
I have an '07 manual with HUD. The only 2 symbols I can think of that would remotely look like a gear symbol would be cruise control which is round and looks like a speedometer with a line and arrow and the symbol on the light switch which is round with lines all around to simulate light. Neither of which show up in my HUD. So I can't help.
It could be the boost gauge. Does it look like this? http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/.../photo_14.html If that's the case, you're not supposed to have it (it's a ZR1 feature) but your HUD could be misconfigured.

I've seen posts here that mentioned having the turn signals show on the HUD, but I've not seen anywhere how to do it. I went through all the HUD functions yesterday on the car, but nothing about turn signals. Nothing in the manual either.
I have an '07, was the HUD turn signal only on newer C6s?

I'm not sure about that, but they are only displayed on the street modes
there are several different street modes and also track modes.
they can be cycled through by using the pages button

Yes I went through all that and didn't see it, but I always stay in Track 1 so I didn't really pay much attention at what was available on Street mode.
Okay, checked it out today, and as already noted by others it is only available in street mode. It is actually there (on Street) all the time, it wasn't selectable, but I never monkeyed much in Street mode so I never noticed it.
