It was an exaggeration, one person said it and nobody is really arguing it, except you, against yourself

Right, and the LS3 trapped 4 MPH higher (makes more power and has better potential). Show me the 60' from those runs. With the same weight and 60' the LS3 car would have a better ET because of the potential shown in the MPH.

Yes, the LS2 car covered the quarter faster, but that doesn't mean it is overall faster. It means it reached its potential better.
Here You Go putting down false statements again, if you read i never said same converter i just was stating a 4000 rpm converter, you do know that a high stall converter losses top end mph. you do know a manual dynos higher, and you do know GARY2004Z06 drove the manual holder of the Z06C5 bolt/on record & holder of the C6Z06 bolt/on record, and drove the car better then anyone could have. stanger hit 105 mph in the 1/8 1.32 60 ft gary hit 104 mph in the 1/8 1.46 60 ft clearly shows the converter losses mph in the 1/4 over the manual, that mph statement isnt true it all depends on what part of the curve the power is made, and i bet gary shifted faster then the automatic, plus tire pressure wind during the run weight and even its a convertible. mod you LS3 and lets do it

yep i posted that to, see what happens is you see an LS3 got beat and you fly in guns blazing hell no that couldn't happen insted of reading the facts, the ls2 stanger had dickey scoggins ls3 heads 342 gears small cam, the ls3 had Mast heads cam 410 gears fast intake electric water pump and the tuner was there tuning, i was there and know both cars tuners owners and drivers, you can do a search and find out more, the ls3 had more mods the ls2 no pulley ls3 intake ported seats out both cars

Everything is in favor of the LS3, newer, modern cubic inch, intake flow, head flow, more and better after market mods, and yet it still looses:

Your ability to use grammar and spelling explain your inability to comprehend the simple idea that given all the same modifications, the engine with more cubes will always make more power. It all boils down to that. Not some mystical hero passes made on a track.

Congrats, you have the fastest LS2 vette. Your dick is bigger than everyone's.

LOL!!!

He seems like he has to argue out how much better his ls2 is to feel better about himself.

IMO if you are looking to buy a new car.. it boils down to the ls2 cars have t56s and the ls3 cars have 6060s. the Ls3 cars have the nicer center console and i think in 08 they switched ECUS to a better ECU.

That's funny when ever any educated person is losing they always go to Im smarter then you i can type and spell and can put words to paper, like a little secretary i could have made a million on betting you would resort to this But if you could read you would see that i am the #2 fastest internal modification LS2 and lets be real that includes the C6 so faster then the LS3, I know its hard to say, but try it a few times it will get easier, but my car is the fastestLS2 LS3 C6 BOLT/ON CAR for years and years, i didnt drive the 10.62, i did a weight mod i weight 293 but still faster, as far as the size of my dick does your butt hurt because mine doesntnow go wax your car and i have been 132.08

This tread has turned useless.

One comes from the factory making more than the other.
Both engines have equal potential.
Anyone who argues one is better than the other is simply happy with the one they have.

Thats the real truth... I like them both and would be happy with either one.

Why does it matter that you're a dropout? Are you proud of that?

Is there something I missed?

I once failed a Calc test......

I dont think anyone is stating one is better, im stating a fact, not because i have that one, if the list showed the LS3 then i would be saying the LS3 is faster and stronger, one is faster once modded NA now of course i would state the LS3 is a stronger motor and more suited to FI and can probably accept more boost, and to the original poster you cant go wrong either way, buy what you can afford, the newest car is always best to own.

Show me one of the modded LS2's that have less than thousands of $$ in mods.

I had an '05 stick with headers, CAI, ported intake and tune. It pulled 385 on a couple of Dynos. My '08 A6 pulls 375 on the same Dynos. Allow 10 HP loss for the A6 and they are equal in power.
My car, which in the quote above ran 11.29 had the following mods and prices for each.

Keep in mind that I ran the car ONCE at the track to get that 11.29. I didn't work to get it, I drove up, ran, and was asked to leave and never went back because I'd get the boot again.

100 shipped used: K&N intake
600 shipped used: Ported FAST 90
300 shipped new: Ebay 1 3/4 Longtubes (still strong after 50k miles)
600 shipped used: 3200 yank converter (300 for install)
200 shipped new: SLP 25% Underdrive Pulley (150 for install)
500 for dyno tuning
500 local used: 275 Nitto 555R Drag radials on C5 Z wheels

That's around 3k in mods if you include installation to run low 11s first pass out and probably would've been close to 10s if I had opted for the very proven 3600 yank, which time and time again shows to be .2-.4 quicker than the 3200

If I had worked that setup I definitely could've seen 11.1s or 11.0s as the 60' was only a mid 1.6

Dynod 395RWHP through the stalled auto.
