Default intake ported or not?

I have an 06 Z51 coupe and I am getting a FAST 102mm intake along with ARH headers and a K and N filter with a tune . My question is ,do i need to get the Fast ported along with the throttle body. I don`t plan on doing any more at this time on my budget. Should I get them ported now to save getting them done later? Bat Pig out.

If you plan to do it at all now is the time to do it. You will probably save money buying one pre-ported vs having it done separately anyway.

What I did with my Fast before mounting to stock head was limited to removal of manufacturing flashing on all mating joints and smooth, blend in then polish.

Proper match porting will be done when I have decided which head to be used.

I ported my own TB and I did everything progressive w/one change at a time. TB porting had no noticeable effect, but it was nice to permanently removed the two massive cast in lumps at 4 & 8 o'clock position in the inlet then mirror polished the internal, so it did make me feel better with that done but didn't cost me anything other then time.

with the Fast 102 ported and OBX catted long tubes in an A4 I picked up 65rwhp without any additional tuning.I dont think manual porting of tb will do much.order the Fast ported to save time and money

Porting doubles the stock FAST's gains.

I would say "YES", I have a non ported FAST and wish that I would have had it ported before the install. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...st-intake.html

For the minimal cost I would definitely do it.
