I have a 2005 c6 im looking for what type of wheels are you guys running. I know about the gto spares but where are you guys getting the spacers to use them. So im looking for some ideas on what i can replace my stock with..........
I use 17x4.5 dark stars, no spacers needed. My car is a base C6 as well. The edge of the tire lines up with the fender almost exactly. I do not get any rubbing, and my car is slightly lowered.

No spacers required with the GTO spares when using base brakes.

When using base brakes AND doing a little filing/machining to the center hub area of the two spare rims as well of course, they do need that minor modification to fit.
The spacers or more specifically 'adapters' will be needed if one wants to retain their Z51 front brakes.
These adapters are available from many online auto parts sellers and even ebay.
The most important thing to keep in mind when considering skinnies, is weight. Weight is why you do it in the first place. It's not the look, because appearance doesn't score bonus points on your timeslip.
So when you deal with weight reduction, it makes no sense to add adapters to retain heavy rotors. The front base rotors alone, each save an additional 5# over the J55 (Z51/F55) rotors and 12# more than the Z06 ones. By the time you add in the weight differences for base brackets, base calipers for Z06, and rear rotors, you'll be saving a whole bunch more.
It's not a matter of stopping power either. I have no problem making the first turnoff after a 125 mph pass.

Looks good! Buddy had them on his mustang, how is the QC on yours?
I had no problems with them at all, they balanced out fine as well.
However i did buy Mcgaurd Lug nuts for them before installing them.
The only thing i don't like is the dumb Hub Centric ring. But as long as i don't forget to install them, i am good.
Mine are the unilug style, i bought them right before they went on their fire sale (just my luck) But last outing, i was trapping 135mph all day long on them, and had Zero Issues.
