Text message reading

I have a 2010 Coupe and I was told by a friend that had a newer Grand sport that his Bluetooth would read incoming texts. Does anybody know if that is the case, if its only for newer vettes, or if that is not possible? I have a Galaxy S4 in case that matters

The phone has to be set to car mode. Push the microphone button on the phone and say "car mode on". Thats how you do it on my Galaxy S2 so it should be the same on yours.

Wait what??? I never heard as such thing!! Never heard that the stock 3ZR navi HU could do that. Cuz the bluetooth itself can't!!

Its a function of the phone not the nav. If music plays through the nav from the phone via BT than any sound from the phone should come through. If I have my phone set to car mode I can listen to Pandora and if I get a text the music will pause and the phone will read the text out loud. I dont have BT, I have a hardwire through the xm receiver and it comes through that.
