Clutch problem questions
I think my clutch finally let go at the track today. A little background, my car is about 700RWHP and has the stock clutch. It is both a street and track car.
The car started slipping especially under hard acceleration. Trying to hammer the throttle and the car would just redline. When I came in the clutch smelled like it was burning. Fluid is good and I change it constantly.
This is what is throwing me off. I pulled in, and shut down the car. Went to restart and now it won't start at all. The weird part is the car has full power then the minute I push the clutch in and try to start, I lose all power. The minute I release the clutch, power comes back on. Is this just the safety feature of having to have the clutch in to start, and since the clutch is shot it won't allow the car to start?
I am going to have ECS get me back up and running with their 9000 clutch package, but hoping to get some understanding on what is happening with my car.
