Default Watch the drip

What i did was to jack the car up till is was level, fired it up let it warm up. Shifted it through the gears, pull the drain plug no drip. Kept putting oil until it started to drip from drain plug. I kept checking how many and much oil i was putting in ,until it started to drip. Just a little over 3 quarts , thats how i reached my number. Its too bad they couldnt design this unit with a dip stick..........

OK. I see you just followed the standard procedure. Just by the way you wrote before, it kinda sounded like you knew it was 3 quarts low before you added anything. That's why I wondered how you knew that.

Other than having to access a dipstick through an opening in the trunk/hatch, it'd be a pain to add fluid there too.

Real pain in the butt , to check tranny fluid but we have to do it. Drove it some more last night, even got on it a little bit. Still the leak has not come back........
