I just got a new 403 LS2 put in my car, and when I go to start it it just turns over (as if it had no spark) the battery is a Optima Yellow Top and is PERFECT ... the motor turns over fast ..not as if it was a weak battery..
I shut it off (press the off button) and hit start a 2nd time, & it starts up PERFECT..
Usually in the morning the first time I try to start it, it WILL start like normal.. and drive it app 1/2 hr.
When I shut it off and go to the store (about 5 Min when I go to restart it it just will turnover as if there was no spark, I instantly shut it off & retry the start button and it starts right up..
On several occasions it have to restart it 3 or 4 times as it just turns over until I hit the OFF side of the starting button..
It always will start, but usually its only after my 2nd or 3rd try of hitting the start button...
Once it's running it runs like a Swiss watch (PERFECT)
any chance it could be the cam position sensor. ?????
The motor was just built, and this is the first time it's been on the road.. it does have a new cam etc.. etc..
Cam sensor is triggered by the cam gear and if the LS7 cam gear for 58x reluctor wheels was accidentally used it should trip the code after a few tries as it's only used on start ups, is that what is happening?

Julio doesn't make accidents like thathe wants jpee to break it in before a final dyno tune, It would be devastating to have two blow on the dyno, and I dont think jpee could handle it once he takes it back all will be fine

Dennis your right on BOTH issue's.. if it blew AGAIN on the dyno I'd use my 9mm on myself
Thankfully I'm sure Julio didn't make that mistake as he built a complete new motor from the block to the valve cover bolts... I haven't put the "wood' to it but at 50 mph if I just tickle the gas it starts to spin the MT.. but the roads are very cold...
I'm sure when I get it back it will be fine..and I can stop taking my "Meds" LOL
I got the new roll bar,(chrome molly) & 5 pt harness in.. my daughter bought me a SFI fire jacket.. so now I just have to wait until the weather breaks hopefully in Late Feb.. there might be a track rental if we get a warm day...
I have 350 miles on the new motor, and most likely will have 500 by the time it sees a track...
I'm anticipating the track day more than when my wife had out first daughter LOL

I wouldn't figure he would, but we're all human and didn't think it would be a tuning thing. Glad to see JPee went to him directly to get the issue resolved as I know he's the kind of guy who takes care of his customers.
