Default performance exhaust

I have a 2014 3lt (NOT a Z51) and when set to Sport OR Track, the exhaust indeed does what it is supposed to do BUT after a few moments, the open sound suddenly shuts and goes to the quiet exhaust sound. The only way to get the louder sound to return is to aggressively and briefly accelerate and the through sound returns for a few moments.
I have been told that the sound should never change to quiet as long as the car is in the Sport or Track mode.
Can someone help and let me know which are the facts. Remember NON Z51 but the car DOES have the performance exhaust option.
Thanks
Ray

Gee, no responses. Ray, its normal for the exhaust to close in the C-6's when taking your foot off the gas after hard acceleration regardless of what mode you are in. You should probably post this in the C-7 section and see what you get for responses.

Agreed, If I’m not mistaken the bi-mode operates according to RPM's. When it’s below the preset RPM the valves close... At least that’s how it works on my 2011 GS.

this is not the issue at all. not taking foot off the gas at all and not accelerating. it just stops the bypassing. totally
trying to find out if anyone else has the same issue and what was the problem???? even if you slightly accelerate, the sound is still quite. dead quite
Thanks for the response

on my c7 it makes no difference what the rpm is. it quits at low and higher rpms. taking it to dealer tomorrow morn.
thanks

Ray, On the C-6's the exhaust opening is dependent on throttle position AND RPM's. At about 3500 RPM's and aggressive throttle position the valves open right up. You could gently run the rpm's up beyond 3500 w/o opening the valves. IIRC, as the rpm's come down and cross the 3500 rpm threshold, they close. I'm usually way to busy to notice when they close as I'm at the track watching my brake points and thinking how fast that turn is coming up and where I need to place the car!
