Transmition issue?
08 z51,with 35,000 miles.. Put the car in reverse then into drive and the car hesitates until about 1,100 rpm's then hits hard and takes off? Any thoughts, this ones the wife's,, not run hard at all!

Also, there were some C6's around that vintage with a problem in one of the internal tranny valves. The was a Service Bulletin about it, dealer should be able to find the bulletin and check if it applies to your car.
