I like the cam old motorhead mentioned over that one.

If anybody who has recently done a cam install and recommend a specific kit/vendor, I would greatly appreciate your input. 2009 Z51 c6. Thanks
Call Martin at Tick Performance and have him spec you what you want. I couldn't be happier with the cam he did for me.

That cam is about as good of a compromise as I can come up with. It fits me though. You may want something totally different. Spec a cam that fits exactly what you're trying to get done. A custom cam doesn't cost any more than a "shelf" cam.

And yes, a cam like this will give you a nice bump in power if you run it without a blower.
Cool, Ill call around today and see what I can find out.

No worries man. VR is a very reputable company, so I think you're in good hands. I'm sure that you're going to be pleased. That cam should have very smooth manners and will really shine with a blower. Please post back on here soon and let us know how it runs.

I will! It may be this weekend depending on how much girlfriend/family attention will be needed from me. Ill post pics and videos. I did go to my local autozone and checked to see if they had the chrysler balancer puller and the spring depressor. Any other specialized tool or gook ill need?

If you are pulling the balancer, just replace the stock one with a better unit. ATI has an Ebay store where they sell their blems for less than half retail. I got mine for $220. They are fully functional. Just might have some scratches.

Also, the stock crank pulley bolt is torque to yield. It's not reusable. You need a new one or an ARP crank bolt.

I'd just like to say that people could have easily flamed the OP for such a broad topic and a million cam threads out there.

I'm happy to see everyone helped out.
