Default cam clearanace help,

Hi everyone! I need your knowledge again.

I installed the 3200 Yank (SS Nitrous) in my 2006 C6 and I obtained pretty good results, I improved my time in half a second on the ¼ mile. I want to keep improving so I just bought headers (long tube) and I want to buy a camshaft.

A friend of mine has a brand new camshaft (Comp Cams 54-459-11) and I think that it’s a good option to obtain even better results on the track without losing driveability on the street. What do you think?

Here are the specs:
· Basic Operating RPM Range:2,000-7,000
· Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift:231
· Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift:239
· Duration at 050 inch Lift:231 int./239 exh.
· Advertised Intake Duration:281
· Advertised Exhaust Duration:289
· Advertised Duration:281 int./289 exh.
· Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio:0.617 in.
· Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio:0.624 in.
· Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio:0.617 int./0.624 exh.
· Lobe Separation (degrees):113

I also plan to use Lunati springs, retainers and locks (73925k1 kit). Do I also need to buy pushrods?

I found threads where some people used this camshaft on a ls1 and had valve clearance issues. Could I have the same problem on my ls2?

http://ls1tech.com/forums/generation...-comp-cam.html

I think that the lobe separation is nice for street applications (113). Am I right?

I searched for results of a dyno with this camshaft but found nothing. Will I get 45 hp or more? (I know this is relative).

Thanks again for all!
