Because of this forum (thank you) I check my HB and what a wobble. It's a 2007 base coupe with 111000 on the clock. When I get this repaired, what else besides HB, bolt, seal and belts should I consider doing while their in there.
Thanks for any advice...
Well, I got a cam and my damper was installed for free. Two birds, one stone.
I hear you slayer but this is going to hurt my wallet enough. After the fix I'll need to switch to a cheaper brand of beer for a while and I already drink cheap beer.
If you do it, might as well do it right. Get an aftermarket damper. Your factory one did really well to go that far, mine only made it to 60K. The labor of removing all kinds of stuff is the killer, there is a fairly small difference in the price of the part.

Haha I understand. Are you doing the work yourself? Labor seems to be the majority of the cost of swapping out the balancer.

Plugs, filters, fluids etc. I do but this kind of job I leave to the pros. I call a shop that specializes in corvettes and was quoted $750 labor. They recommended a Trick Flow HB and said the whole job should be around $1000. I'm not sure what that includes. Hence my question, "what should I be replacing on my 2007, 111000 mile vette, when I have the HB repaired". Once I figured that out, I'll get a full quote.
Mean while, I've been trolling ebay looking for one of those blemished ATI I read about.
