power window problem

power window problem
I tried a search first and am new on here so forgive me if I missed something that's been covered before, but I just bought a 2006 coupe and have a problem. I can put both windows down with the switches on the drivers door, but the passenger window will not go back up with that same switch. If I reach over and use the passenger switch it goes up fine. Does anyone know if this is a common problem? My first thought was I need to replace the switch, but also thought maybe a broken wire somewhere. any ideas are appreciated.

The switch provides input to a controller which drives the window motor so it could be anything in that path.
