This article states that the HP rating of the Corvette given (mine is NPP so 436 hp) is RWHP. I assumed the rating was given at crank and I was maybe 380 RWHP, but the article has me wondering if my 436 is RWHP.
Yeah manufacturers always quote crank HP. But when you're on a Chassis Dyno its WHP. I've had people at the shop confused when they run their stock car and it makes less than what is quoted from the factory then they undersnd when I explain its crank HP
436 hp is flywheel hp. There is around 12% or so driveline loss of hp to the wheels
Manual trans percentage for lose in drive line at around 12%, and you loose a little more HP at the wheels with auto trans/torque converter (higher percentage lose).
