You typically lose bottom end with bigger headers. You not putting out enough power to need 2". Just my opinion

Take a look at this article.

1-7/8" are good up until about 800 RWHP, after that I suggest going 2". In reality, the ports in your heads are only so big and you'll lose velocity at lower RPM. You may gain a touch more peak HP, but low end will suffer; basically you'll just be shifting the powerband upward in the RPM range. So unless it's a very serious build, 1-7/8" will suit you best.

Feel free to call, PM or email us anytime with questions.

Your losing power with the 1 7/8 the power from the nitrous will push out the tubes , go back to 1 3/4 you will have more power under the curve the gain is at 7000 rpm for the bigger tubes

For anything under 450 WHP, I agree that 1-3/4" is the way to go, but at the OP's power range with the 150 shot, 1-7/8" are the way to go.

Look at the the tq drop with the 1 7/8 then the tune we got a couple more 492 you can see the power gain was only at the highest rpm, dyno 64 65 1 3/4 dyno 67 68 1 7/8 dyno 66 doesn't show as just driving to let maff adjust

I did 1 3/4" for better torque, but never had dyno numbers to validate, so thank you!
