Man thanks alot for you input. It's out at last. In tha access cover of the bell housing there was a retaining bolt around the spline of the shaft. Rotated the engine to get to bolt. Once loosened shaft slip out. Know time for more fun. Thanks again.

I had to drop the torque tube in my 2008 with an automatic. You do not have to disconnect the shifter like in a manual. You will only have to disconnect your shifter cable at the transmission.

Yes, you could remove the engine and slide it forward to remove it.
Seriously though, it sucks but you have to take it out. If you are going after the slave and have a lift. Put a transmission jack under the trans and remove the trans, diff and torque tube in one assembly.

For anyone that lands here like I did with an Automatic Transmission in a C7, assuming to just pull harder (I hooked up a hydraulic puller and decided it was under too much stress to be right). If you take off the rubber inspection boot at the bottom of the bell housing, you have access to a 10mm hex head bolt you have to remove from the drive shaft inside the housing where it connects to the flex plate. Once you back that completely out, you will be able to easily slide the torque tube out of the engine bell housing.

Default It's not that hard, but you need a trans jack
