We have installed Export Clusters on a few C6 Corvettes to have the 320 k/h display. All cars are imported from the USA and had no speed warning problems before.
After installing the Export Clusters, e.g. GM25802193 for a 2008 C6 Z06, all four cars got the Speed Warning - 120 k/h and buzz when passing this speed. Warning sticks on the DIC as long as you drive at this speed and above AND all other messages to the DIC are blocked.
All cars are set to the Europe Zone in the BCM to make rear export lights working correctly.
Is there ANYTHING in the DIC set up that allows you to turn it ON/OFF???
Go into the functions in the DIC Menu and take a look..
Just brainstorming and trying to come up with a solution.
That's something us USA Owners don't see that much (if any)
Bill
No there are no functions in the DIC to set or disable this over speed warning. C7 will have that. We just today reprogrammed the BCM for USA, Japan, Saudi Arabi and back to Europ again - no changes - still same problem.

How did you get this resolved? I have the same issue with my Middle East region Corvette C7 - there is the annoying overspeed warning popping up at 120 km/h. The local Chevrolet dealer in Dubai refused to program this out.
The programming option to turn such off, is in the cluster programing options itself, and not something in the BCM set up RPO's that you could deselect their instead.

Speedometer - Inst, Kilo & Miles, Kilo Odometer
U52
Cluster - Inst, Electronic
Now guess which one does not give you the option to turn it off in the cluster options.
As for if GM can turn it off with re-flash of the cluster to car, you bet.
But that would require A/C Delco to write a different firmware file such for vin number (they do it for the GM race teams aboard that are running those clusters), and the dealer pull downs and us that VIC number firmware file to re-flash the cluster. Hence VIC method of SPS flashing (not normal flash method and not using one of the listed file in the SPS program), is the same way they correct the mileage on a dealer installed replacement cluster as well.
So if anyone is using SPS, and wondering what VIC flash method is all about, you now know.
Thanks for the feedback. Is there anyone who do this via remote coding? I understood this would need to be done with the GM Service Programming System (SPS) and using anothe cluster (U52) firmware for a Canadian or European car (with km/h)? I have the HP Tuners OBD2 dongle ...
Thanks
