I'm looking for information on the bracket needed to do the C5/C6 diff swap in the 2005's. There's quite a number of threads on the this subject, but it seems pictures are missing on all the good ones.
I remember running across a post on someone making a bolt in type bracket, but of coarse now I can't find it.
Does anyone have any information on this bracket? Any vendors sell this bracket???
That's the bolt up type bracket I saw, Stanger383's bracket. (first link you posted)
I guess I'll see if he's still around and if he's still making them.
i just did this conversion 3 months ago. I got the bracket from stanger383 but i had some serious vibration so i end up usings a c3 trans bracket and its a very simple design i will take some pictures this weekend . I end up making my own bracket with a c3 trans and it eliminated all noise and vibration.

That's what Spinmonster did in the link I posted above. Pics are in there.

Did you end up having to weld anything?
Spinmonster's bracket looks a little more fab than i want.
I saw some say that they had to trim the cooling fins on the bottom of the c5 diff and others say it was a bolt in job once you had a bracket. Did you have to trim or grind anything on your c5 diff?
Any updates to this? I would love to put a C5 3.42 rear in my 2005
I put a new 08 ZO6 differential in my 05.you will need to have a 30 spline output shaft installed in your transmission and an adapter plate to bolt transmission to differential.both are available from RPM transmission.this is an option for parts that are no longer available and may be of help to others

We are talking C5 swap in this thread. No mentions of C6 Z06 - Stay on target!
