Lifter bleed down ?

Default Lifter bleed down ?
is possible to have a lifter bleed down at any given time ? cold start up it may be there or may not, or driving along with the engine at operating temp and come to a stop light, waiting, and the all of a sudden it starts, i can hear it easily over the radio, pull away and get some rpms and still hear it a bit, then goes away, may not hear it the rest of the day. Ocassionaly i will here it at warm start up, give a few minutes of driving and seems to be ok. is this something i should be concerned about, or just keep an ear on it. i just did a cam swap in January, and am thinking this has something to do with it.
all opinions welcomed.

it sounds like a bad lifter, let me guess you put in dual highlift springs? with a very high seat pressure.

Dual 660 lift sptings. Is that creating a problem ?

Default Do you have - Stock lifters?
I think when they get over 400 pounds of open pressure problems begin to arise with the stock lifters.

change out the lifters then, is what you suggest before it gets nasty, or wait a bit and see if it gets worse ?

then you'd better know what your doing with gasket thickness or pushrod length or both, can't just flycut the heads and put it back together the way it was
