C6 Intake Design
I have driven the car in 102 F Texas temperature (drill a hole in the plastic to reconnect the outside air temperature sensor that was connected to the shroud) without AC to see if it may go above 203 F. At lights without the shroud, the coolant temp read 203 F (same as when the shroud was on) but when driven, it dropped down 199 F faster than when the shroud was on. I have been keeping my eyes on the coolant temperature for a week before the shroud was removed to verify the temperature after the shroud was removed.
Then I turned the AC on. The benefits was very noticeable to the AC. It cool the car down within 5 minutes! And when I drove it on the highway, setting the AC temperature at 72 F actually felt like it was closer to 68 F.
Now, when it gets cooler, I will put a screen at the bottom of the car where the shroud used to be. The only good thing about the shroud was to keep dust from getting into the engine compartment.
My concern now is the "check engine" light is on. I believe that is because of the new intake. I will take the car to Vettech for a tune after I drive it for 100 miles.

Since the Vararam intaked arrived, I installed the Vararam system. It was really easy to installed. The new mounting screws they provided fits perfectly into the shroud holes and hold the lower unit in place. I think they made much improvement over earlier version because they provided an extra 3m tape to go over the bottom unit opening where the two halves come together.
The car sounds much better! So far I don't have any surges even when in idle after driving for 15 miles. Funny, I have the dual exhaust and after installing the Vararam intake, the exhaust sound much quieter at 70 mph...my exhaust is always open.
