Had my ls3 cammed ,BTR stage 4 NA cam,car dynod today. Even though it put out decent numbers felt like they were low for how big the cam is. I mean I'm okay with the numbers for the most part because the car pulls hard I'm really just curious. Car put down 445 whp and 412 torque.
Auto or manual car? 91 or 93? What other mods? My brother made 464 on a dyno jet in a 2010 LS3 Camaro with a manual trans. The car had a Halltech CAI, UDP, 1 7/8" Kooks, and the BTR IV.

Texas speed(1 7/8) headers and x pipe, k&n intake, manual trans
What was the correction factor? Anything else that would limit power such as altitude/DA?
Dyno numbers are deceiving due to the fact they are impacted by many factors such as weather conditions and altitude that's why you'll see different numbers from vehicles with similar mods.

Yeah i would have to look at the dyno sheet. I'm not too worried about it considering how the car runs and what I've raced. Just bothered me at the time because i was expecting more lol.

I'm aware that's why I asked. I think the general population gets concerned over 10-30whp thinking their car is somehow messed up not understanding that every dyno reads differently on top of other external factors. Track times do the talking.

Well said! I have never liked dynos. Good for tuning thats it. Take it to the track!
I done the full exhaust from a zo6 on my base c6 lost 1hp on the dyno took it to the track and picked up 3mph.

Exactly! My Subaru STI made only 257whp yet ran a 12.1 in the 1/4.
My son just did the BTR stage 4 in his LS3 - FRS (Yes, FRS - he is a drifter) with shorty headers. It did 503 on a dynojet
I just did a Texas Speed Stage 3 in my 08 LS3 with long tubes and it only did 450 on a dynojet (stock on the same dyno was 393). I am a bit disappointed to say the least

It seems common that many are disappointed and you seem to be one as well.As some of the earlier replies stated don't get hung up on the dyno #s.There's a lot one needs to take into consideration with dyno #s. For a more accurate gauge of power go by track results not merely dyno #s better yet run your son or have them both dynode at the same time on the same dyno.
