Default Center console

Hello everyone I have a 05 base automatic car an I want to replace stock radio it died. The question I have is when I disconnect battery the center console will not come out unless u unplug airbag switch in the middle? Will it be ok to unplug passenger airbag to get console out? How long do I have before it loses its memory or if it will at all? Any suggestions? Thanks

You won't lose anything with battery disconnected. Be sure to put the shifter in neutral first if you have A4 or you won't be able to get the console off. The airbag thing is only an indicator light. Check out www.kawal.net for a good tutorial.

You will have to re index your windows after you unhook the battery. As EV said, everything else will remain as is.
