Default Dumb Valvespring Question

SO getting ready to get this cam I have installed in my 2012 GS. Long story short and friends going to let me use his shop and lift, but I only have it for a day, which is ok because if I can use the lift to do the cam, that will be awesome and save me rolling around on the ground. My only concern is if I can finish the cam stuff, and just have the VS's to install, is it absolutely a terrible idea to drive the car home on the stock springs. Im only 2 miles from the shop, and it would be basically idling it home so I can finish the springs. The cam is 227/234 613/576. Thanks

Probably be a better idea to install the valve springs at home before driving to the shop to install the cam. I mean you're going to open the valve covers twice anyway and it definitely won't hurt the car to drive it with stock cam and aftermarket springs; where as the other way around invites a broken spring. I'm pretty sure 613 lift is way beyond what the stock springs can handle, they would be binding.

Install the springs before going to the shop.

Agree. That's what I did, valve springs one day, cam swap another. Much less stressful that way to me.

Yah idk what I was thinking, forgot about coil bind. But got it figured out, just going to do it all at home, don't want to be stressed about doing it all in 1 day.
