Hey guys, I'm hunting for a high beam replacement or upgrade from halogens on my 2008 z06. Anyone have any recommendations? Would prefer LED's if I can get some that still seal the bulbs and I'm specifically avoiding HID's. Work great for low beams, not so much for high beams.

Thanks in advance!
Most of the LED lamps with output high enough for use as high beams have fans on the back of them, or large copper braid heat sinks. These will most probably not allow you to have the backs of the lamps sealed against moisture, dust, dirt, etc. (whatever makes it into the engine compartment).
I'd go with good high output halogen bulbs like the Philips Crystal White or something similar. Stay away from the Sylvania Silver Star, unless you can get the Osram (German) brand of the bulbs. The regular Silver Stars tend to burn out fairly quickly.
That's what I was concerned with. Right now, it looks like my head lamps are sealed quite well so I don't want to ruin that but if the halogens will provide more light, I'll grab them.
