Default autocross questions

hey guys im going to be going to my first autocross event next weekend. i have a ls2 z51 and got a couple questions. first off ive seen people on here say to fill oil level up to 7 quarts for road racing is this something i should do? and second i have just thrown a set a new tires on michelin pilot sport ps2s and i am worried that theres a possibility of tearing up my new tires? id rather not ruin my new tires is this a possibility or am i being paronoid? any other input and help would be appreciated thanks!

if it is just a local event, depends upon how they layout the course..............

oil level should be full, not usually overfilled..........

tires may need pressures adjusted for optimum handling, but usually would not get excessively worn in one event.................

a lot more info. in the area of the forum linked below...............

If you raise the air pressure that will help keep the tires from rolling over on the edges. That is where you will get the wear.
