I thought about the 26s, But I HATE wheel gap. I'm not out a ton, I can actually use both tires on my mustang.

What rear suspension is on the silver base posted leaving pulling the wheels? It can't be stock stuff?

Here are the pics of the 255/60/15, I've got too busy yesterday to install with all the rain we got.

Installed my wheels on the car and It seemed to work great, no rubbing over bumps. I'm gonna have an alignment performed and will have them pull the wheels in a touch more. Ultimately, I feel that I will convert it to widebody over the winter. I want to run a 275/60/15 for maximum traction. I feel that I could have stayed with a 17inch wheel and would have better traction than a 255/60/15 can offer.

Hate to hear that you're having to go widebody, although it will look great I'm sure. The hunt continues for a 15" setup that sits inside with base fenders

I have been working with carter performance and he's amazing when it comes to this stuff. He's tried an rc wheel and you have to run a spacer.
He has milled a caliper pretty bad trying to not have to run a spacer with rc wheels. I thought about the rc, but after you add the spacer, its apples to apples what weld has. Carter performance is trying to get rc to build a wheel that fits our base quarters.

Sucks forsure, I'm getting an alignment today with the hopes of pulling the wheels in more. I'll post after pictures.

Has anybody tried the Champion wheels? I think they offer a 15x10 with 7.75bs instead of welds 15x10.3 w/7.5, which might would tuck it a tad more if they clear the brakes?

Whos running 15x10s and Base fenders? Do you need a beefier rear suspension so it will not rub?

Yes or a shorter tire! We're still on the hunt for a 15x10 that will fit under the car. The tire height is what makes a big difference, my red vette has 27s. Most people with base quarters run 26 without any issues. I still have rubbing issues on hard bumps with my 27s, but I am stock suspension. I bet a coil over with a stiffer rate spring would do the trick.

I just finished my conversion and I’m currently running the weld wheels with et pros 275/60r15.

wonder if we could just stiffen the suspension

it cant hurt! there's people running the 275 with base, but they haven't said how? My initial ride with 275 went terrible. see the pics on the first page. You cant narrow the rear suspension, it has to be stiffened up. The silver vette is leaving hard and will has roof. He's gotta have a coil over.

I run a 305 tire that is about 27.8" tall with MSR and nothing ever touches.is your car lowered?
