I didn’t lower it, I bought it with just an exhaust. It could ave been lowered before I got it? Here’s a side pic. I’m guessing it is lowered based on my front wheel gap.

if you raise it on the jack bolts a reasonably fitting wheel with 27" tire should not touch.what condition are your rear shocks in?you cant have it both ways.lowered car and tall tires

answer this for me do you guys think a 275/60/15 “28” inch tire is to big for 750 hp? Do you think I will loose power?

I've been running the 15" Conversion on a base car until last week. I just swapped to the wide body fenders so I could run a larger tire. I ran 275/50/15 M/T drag radials for 2 yrs with no issues. The tire stuck past maybe 3/8 on an inch with 15x10 Weld RT on a 7.5 BS. Traction was good & consistent at the track, even on the jug. I got to the point I needed the taller tire because 138-140 mph with 3.42 gears you're done unless you're gonna spin the mtr to 7200 rpm +. I'll see if I can find some pics to post later today.

This is me using the search

Weld makes a 9.275 inch wide rim with 7.5 bs.. would that help tuck a tire on the base fenders.. Is 7.5 the most BS you can run before running into suspension interference..

Asking because I already ordered the needed spindles . Going to change out the base breaks .. Have a 3.42 gear to install in my a6 car but I dont have the power to need a 28" tire (yet) but completely destroy the 17" radial anywhere but the track with the 3800 stall..

Thanks Ben

Has anybody successfully ran a low pad height Weld RTS on a 15? I know Weld chart says to use medium but wondering if a low would work if caliper was ground down a good bit like we used to do on the f-bodys back in the day?

Default Z06 15” conversion brakes/ lower control arms

I want to do a 15” conversion on my 07Z06. If I swapped down to a base model caliper and rotor would that fit the 15x10 wheels? Also will I need to shave down my lower control arms?

you will need the caliper, rotor, 15” conversion knuckle, and the lower control arm clearance

I’m tracking on the fact that I’ll need the conversion knuckle. I just feel like going a cheaper route than buying some $400+ brake kit. I’ve found base model calipers used for under $200, I feel like a base model corvette caliper/rotor will fit I was just wondering if anyone knows for sure.
