Limit switch convertible top replacement cost.
06 convertible folding top would stop halfway in down cycle and the tonneau would not release. Had dealer diagnose the problem found defective limit switch part number 19120624. The estimate for them to replace this switch with two hours labor is $620.00. The tech at the dealer showed me that when the folding top is stuck and the tonneau will not open to just pull the rear bow back a little father and hold the up switch and the tonneau works. My question is this limit switch something i can install? I do have switch on order. Just live with it by pulling back on the top every time? $620 seems way expensive. Not sure what to do car has only 13900 miles. Thank you for any help.
