So if the solenoid locked the starter drive into the flywheel and fried the starter, you wouldn't be able to crank the engine by hand either.
Pulling plugs for a borescope peek at pistons/valves would be high on the inspection list, followed by pulling valve covers.

Went by there this morning and found that they hadn't touched the car. They were supposed to have the engine out yesterday!

Like Hoxxy said...I hope they pull the plugs, pull the starter, pull the valve covers before they pull the motor.
