I recommend the Hinson engine and transmission mounts. Increased nvh is minimal.

Any real benefits to running the shorter versions?

Hinson told me not to use the shorter ones unless I have a clearance issue with the intake.

I would never run a pfadt style mount. Too many complaints unless it is a full race car.

Hinsons are awesome. I've had the stock height ones for past 6 years and no issues.

Have you heard of any mount failures with the Hinsons ?
Joe posted on a FB thread of mine that he sees a lot of failures with them

NO! install was easy anyway just support the motor under the oil pan and undo the bolts on the stock mount and take the mount right off the side of the engine block. done.

I thought about 2 months ago somebody had a neat design (they were beginning to sell) with a hockey puck type unit that could take the heat and looked like a pretty good and simple design.

Havent heard of any. Mine been on few years with no issues. They sell a heat shield for them now I believe. At the time they didn't, and I just used the stock heat shield with them. Failures would probably be due to heat from headers.

You lose ground clearance with the Hinson lower mounts. I don't know how low your car is, but mine is real low and I don't need the loss of clearance.

installed mine with the stock heat shields, I have Kooks headers closest pipe is what 5 inches away? heat related problems? poly has a higher melt temp then rubber. Hinson mount is smaller in diameter thus farther away from the exhaust.

I never heard of failures. They came out with heat wraps for the mounts so I just figured maybe they saw some issues.

I've seen the heat wraps, but for the life of me I don't see how the mount would be getting hot any way?
