The C7 rings up 1.16 G's on the300 ft skidpad. How did they get the C7 to corner so well? More to the point, if you wanted similar, or even better results in a C6, how would you go about doing it? Has anything like that been done? What is the highest lateral G's performance for a C6? What level of lateral performance could you get from a C6 if you were willing to accept a moderate to significant level of decrease in ride comfort?
It comes down to tires and wheel alignment. My GS has seen 1.15 on street tires on a road course. Street tires are Michelin PSS's. The GY tires I had on previously would see about 1.13g's. These numbers come from sustained turns, and I am purposely not at the limit.

Slick numbers will be higher.
To wit....on R888s I've recorded sustained G >1.35. From there, even more can be had with different shocks, springs, sway bars, bushings, etc.
The C6 (and C5Z) does very well when properly set up.
